Gili Trawangan is the largest island from other three Gili islands. Gili Trawangan is located in northwest of Lombok. Gili Trawangan is also the only island that has significant height above the sea level.With a length of 3 km and 2 km wide, Gili Trawangan has 800 populations. Among from the three gili, Gili Trawangan is the only Island that has various tourist facilities. Gili Trawangan is also known as the smallest island in the world is that has Irish bar.
Gili Trawangan has "party" atmosphere more than Gili Meno and Gili Air, many parties all night in every night which is held using rotated system by some party organizer. Popular activities in Trawangan are scuba diving (with PADI certified), snorkeling (in the northeast coast), and surfing. There are also several places where tourists can learn to ride horse around the island.
On Gili Trawangan (as well as in two other Gili island), there are no motor vehicles. A common transportation is bicycles (rented by locals to tourists) and Cidomo (simple horse wagon).
